Performance
All trim levels of the GMC Canyon come equipped with the same engine, which is a 2.7-liter inline-4 turbocharged variant that makes 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. This engine pairs with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is standard with both the AT4 and AT4X trims. The AT4 trim comes standard with performance features like hill descent control, a two-speed transfer case, and standard four-wheel drive.
The AT4X trim makes some major performance improvements which include rock rails, a retuned suspension with 1-inch additional lift, locking front/rear differentials, Multimatic DSSV dampers, and a trailering package. Optional performance features with the AT4X include a front-mounted Comeup winch, configurable bed rails, and 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels.
Interior
The GMC Canyon AT4 ensures a robust set of comfort and convenience features, going well beyond the standard set that's included with the entry-level Elevation. The AT4 trim adds the Convenience and Preferred packages. The Convenience package includes remote engine start, a rear window defogger, a sliding rear window, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a tilt/telescoping steering wheel. The Preferred trim adds a power adjustable drivers' seat and heated front seats for Olathe drivers to enjoy.
The AT4X trim makes some major interior improvements by adding the Safety Plus, Technology, and AT4 Premium packages. The AT4 Premium package adds leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and heated/ventilated front seats.
Technology & Safety
Both the AT4 and AT4X models come with an 11.3-inch touchscreen display, a 6-speaker audio system, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity. The AT4X trim adds a surround-view camera system along with a wireless charging pad, a head-up display, and a Bose premium audio system.
